Using comparison services to switch costs us all money

Options
I hate to suggest this on this site but doesn't frequent switching of electricity or gas suppliers increase the cost of utilities for us all.
According to Martin's webpage on switching every switch costs the utility company gaining the new customer between £20 and £50 ( paid to the comparison service). The utility company will obviously pass its combined costs incurred by switching onto the bills of its consumers.
The comparison services are ultimately being paid by us consumers, not the suppliers.
In my mind this makes the comparison services, uswitch etc, parasites.
The people who lose out worst of all are of course those who never switch.
