OH was paid today so thats seen off the last off OD#1 and £2.30 off OD#2.:j I've been bad and bought lunch again, I think this is bacause I've been feeling quite tired. I think I should do some batch cooking so I've got some frozen lunches to hand. I had £4.20 of my weekly £20 left so thats been paid towards OD#2 as well.

It's fathers day this weekend so DS will be making a card and I thought we could get a little box of malteasers to go with it, hoping to pick that up at tescos. I've spoken to OH about all the presents we buy and we've managed to knock 2 off the list which is a start. I really need to keep my eyes out for bargains ready for christmas.

There's lots of DFW things I cshould be doing this week so I've made a little list to start me off:
    • list 5 things on ebay
    • list 5 things on amazon
    • do all the surveys in my inbox
    • batch cooking
    • fill in forms to swith gas and elec
    • fill in form to get rebate on car insurance
If I can get through this little list and keep ontop of housework I will be a happy bunny. Need to go and do a meal plan as I'm food shopping tomorrow.

I managed about half of this weekends to do list. I didn't manage to list anything on ebay or amazon but I have just finished all the surveys in my inbox. I got some batch cooking done (all cakes and nearly all gone) and I did get the car insurance form done just need to send off now. need to ring energy company about the other form though looks complicated.

Today the scratch card money landed in the bank so that's come off my total. I've requested a payout from lightspeed and when that comes through I'll cash out the money I have in paypal.

I've decided to up our weekly shopping budget from £45 to £50 as I can't remember the last time we had any money left after we'd been shopping. Even with an increase we still went a few pence over this week, I did need washing powder though. I'm hoping to find out how to make my own washing liquid so might have a nosey on the old style board later.

It's been a busy weekend, not much debt reduction going on but we've not added to it anyway either though.

The money has arrived from lightspeed so have just requested £7 from my paypay account. I think it normally takes nearly a week. I got the forms I had filled in and sent off too.:j

Tonight I've ordered £20 of pizza express vouchers using £5 of clubcard deals vouchers, (one of my vouchers went out of date at the end of May and it was still accepted;)). I've looked up the restaurant locations and there is a pizza express where we are going on our holidays, which will really help us out. We haven't been on holiday together for 5 years so I'm really looking forward to it, we should hopefully have £250 of spending money saved by the time we go. I'll also be looking out for other deals for eating out like 2 for 1's.

Payday today and we have an extra £19.82 to throw at the overdraft from OH and I've earned an extra £144.95 this month (doesn't happen often). Off to change my signature. :j

I had £5.21 of my weekly spends so that has been paid into the bank and off the overdraft. I think I might look around for a 0% credit card to transfer the Barclaycard balance to, it might help speed things up. I've just recieved my statement and the interest is £8.08 with next months being estimated at £13.73.

All the little bits are adding up fast, I can't believe how much a little bit of focus has helped.:T

:T Keep it up, you seem very focused...do pop over to the OS board for some laundry powder/liquid tips, there's plenty there.

I personally use the value powder and mix in a bag of soda crystals with it - use about 1/3 of a scoop and haven't had any problems.....that lasts me over a month and costs around £2 on average.

Keep on with the lunch making, think about sarnies that you can freeze down in bulk if it makes it easier, they'll have defrosted by lunch time so nice and easy.

Hi Pooky, Primula and Fire fox thanks for your encouragement. I've not had chance to update for a few days, I've been busy, I've landed myself an extra job. It's doing some admin from home. It'll only be 6-8 hours a months at minimum wage but it all helps.

I've been over to the old style board, there is so much information over there. Rhonda (from down to earth blog) has a recipe for concentrate laundry powder which looks nice, simple and not too messy to start off with and see how we got on. I have been using soda crystals in our washing powder already, thanks Pooky and thats really slowed down how often I was buying washing powder, I'm hoping the homemade stuff works out even cheaper, maybe I should cost it up first.

My tesco clubcard vouchers came ready for our holidays. We're off to London for a long weekend in the summer. We've done a fair bit of research and there seems to be loads to do for free or not very much money. We need to put a plan together before we go. It sounds really anal but I know if we have a plan it will help us to do everything we want and hopefully keep us on budget.

Moneywise, I've received the £7 from paypal into my account so I can update my signature with that although I need to add the interest to the Barclaycard total too. Quidco have emailed to say they are paying me 96p this month. So we've not done too much but it's all helping.
