Past planning permission etc

Since we bought our house we have added one extension to it. The previous owners had a few so when we bought it the solicitors went through all planning permissions, completions etc.

We are selling this house, will the new buyers solicitors go through all the previous extensions or just the one we have done.

I thought maybe, taht they would take it that our solicitor had done all the necessary checks when we bought the house.. Or will they do them all again, to satisfy the new buyers..

Thanks

If they know about them, they will go through them.

It sounds silly but your new extension may detract from the older ones.

I would think they will do them all again, they did when we recently bought.

They will go through what they have.

We once had a house with a certificate for PP and a building regs sign off and a house with an extension. As there were no plans attached to any document, no-one had a clue whether the extension had been built to the approved plans or not. Solicitor wasn't bothered as the paperwork showed approval, but we didn't really know what had been approved.

All past permissions on your land will be listed as part of the search done by the buyers.
