the old mewbie has returned with a vengeance :T'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0

To steal a line from grandad in "only fools and horses" :

but all we got was heroes fit for homes"

We've seen some minor rises based on very small samples. Statistically unsound.
IMO we are experiencing a Spring bounce fuelled by the pent-up demand and low interest rates. This time next year prices will be lower. A new Tory Government will raise interest rates regardless of the impact on the economy.
The bottom will not be in 2009.

To quote bob dylan..
"The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind,
The answer is blowin' in the wind."
No-one can predict the market, the professionals all got it wrong in predicting the start of the recession, I have no faith they'll be able to predict the end until it's over.
As I said in another thread a friend has jsut sold his house. Nice house, nice area but not exceptional. Sold for the full asking price to the 2nd viewer. They didn't haggle over price, Sure it may have been exactly right for the 2nd viewer and it could fall through but that was a very fast sale in the supposed recession we have.
Either people are sensing the bottom and confidence is rising, or lack of new stock coming to the market as people choose not to move is starting to take effect.0
