Door Frame Sill / Threshold

Hello,
My door is quite stiff to shut and I have identified the problem as the threshold (if thats the right word!) not being level and higher to the left.
This appears to be in 2 parts, first a metal bit fixed to down and then a black plastic bit on top. It looks like theres some screws or bolts under the plastic bit to adjust it, but I cant get the plastic bit off!
Does anyone know what I'm talking about?
Thanks

You will just have to prise the plastic threshold strip out to get at the fixing screws.Once you have a small corner free, the rest will come out easily. It might possibly damage it a little but not much. Even if it was damaged it would not be very expensive to replace with new. In fact you might even be able to buy a new one with a lower profile. The problem might not be the strip, it is quite likely that the bottom of the door requires a little bit shaved off of it.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
Thanks for your reply. I did think about shaving some off the bottom of the door. But I can clearly see that the strip is not level, it looks like one side has just been working it's way up. I have searched to try to find it as if replaced I'd want one as idential as possible in case a lower leaves too big a gap. Since I can't find anything, I've left it... I dont wanna wreck it and not be able to replace it.
Put some vasalene on it and it's a little better, if it doesnt work long I'm gonna try some wax.
