Is there any way to stop the huge popups from Avira everytime I log into my computer without buying it?
I ditched AVG due to recomendations on these forums but with that and the constant false positives and it won't remember my settings as a safe file.

I too was sick of the pop-ups and so followed the instructions above. However, now I cannot update the prog, is this normal that you cannot update, if so I will have to go back to the pop-ups as I dont want an out of date antivirus.Change is here to stay0

I've always used this "work around" works fine under XP Pro, no issue with not auto updating (everything updates auto and manually as before), it just removed the nag screen.0
