system resource recording software

as the title suggests i need a program that records system running info like ram processor speed(dual core) and other basic info

RAM is the only important one so i could do with just this

but i want it to save the details so i can look at a log of what i used and when

i want to do this as im thinking of sticking the 64bit version of win 7 on instead of the 32 version currently installed as i cannot access much more than 2.7gb of my ram

i just want to see if i go over this amount enough in normal usage to make the 64 bit os a good enough reason to fiddle around with transferring data

What about the built in resource monitoring tools in Windows ? They're actually very good.

The advantage of 64 bit architecture isn't simply how much more memory can be addressed, but the increase in what can be processed per clock cycle by the CPU.

If you have drivers for your hardware then do it.

i do indeed have drivers and compatible hardware

im just not sure if the performance gain will be enough for me to go through the effort of putting all my programs and games back on

i think i may just leave it until i upgrade the the full release of 64 bit windows 7
