Can anyone recommend a Hotel in Salou please?

We're hoping to go to Salou in August and would like a nice family friendly hotel. We'd like somewhere that offers entertainment but are not bothered about kid's clubs.

We would probably like to go half board, so somewhere that does nice food would be great too.

Does anyone have any recommendations please? x

Have a look on tripadvisor. My girlfriend and I booked up to stay at the Hotel Las Vegas for a week HB at the end of Aug and managed to get a decent deal with Thomas Cook of all places. We paid in the region of £300 PP including transfers and the hotel is currently ranked #1 in Salou on tripadvisor.

Were going to stay at the hotel calypso.
It has great reviews online and were staying half board. We paid £900 for 2 adults and 2 kids so you should get it pretty cheap.

We stayed HB at the Eurosalou last summer, 6 adults and more kids than you can count... in fact I am pretty sure we left one or two over there ;)

Seriously though, its a great choice for families in my opinion. Quieter more ' Spanish ' end of the town , not surrounded by booming bars and drunken Brits... although they can be found with a 10 minute walk into town.

There are a number of shops, bars and cafes etc very close, less than 2 mins walk.

Food was fine, good pool, great mix of holiday makers and evening entertainment, but that wasnt the best, not the worst either though.

I've stayed in the Salou Princess which is very near shops, beach etc but far enough away from all the noise.

Last year we stayed at the Golden Port Salou. In a quiet area about 10 mins from beach and resort centre. Two large pools so plenty of sunbeds.
Entertainment was average but food was superb. If you can find cheap flights with Ryanair this hotel is around £500 weekly for a family of 3 H/B through Thomson Hotels (5% Quidco)
