Dollar Cheques

Afternoon Everyone,

Not sure if this is the right place to ask this question, I have just sold some $ shares at work and i have recevied a $ chq which i have put into my abbey accout last time i put a $ chq through it took about four weeks as it was the first time i am hoping this time wont be as long to process, anyone know how long it takes.

    I used to work for a bank and it usually takes 4 weeks each time as each individual cheque has to be sent for 'negotiation', as far as I know, having presented one before, it wont be any quicker.

    Have to agree with Andy_Ches, the cheque has to be cleared with the originating US bank.
    Anything I post is my opinion, so from time to time I may be wrong. I try to provide answers based in fact, however I don't know everything, so (like all posters on MSE), take what I say with a pinch of salt.
