Companies where you deliver/collect brochures & deliver the orders: kleeneze, and avon like you mentioned, but there is also betterware. Though I have to say we have been getting Betterware brochures through lately and they really aren't attractive looking!

If you wanted to do things that were more like party planning...theres body shop at home, ann summers, partylite, usborne books, there are lots of other companies too, some jewellery ones but don't know any names myself! Think there is a perfume one too.

Depends on what exactly you were looking for really!
Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A

    Hi debt free me :)
I have been involved in Kleeneze and countless party plan companies and have enjoyed them all for different reasons :) I am currently involved with The Body Shop At Home and I am absolutely loving it! I have found it to be the one that suits me and the most enjoyable :)
It all depends what you are looking for and what suits you best. For me I love Body Shop for it's ethics as well as earning money pampering ladies in a nice warm house rather than pacing the streets as I used,(it worked for at the time with a little one in a pushchair :) ). I also enjoy the fact that I am enjoying some girlie time because I have a hubby and two teenage boys at home :)
    Good luck :)

Thanks for your replies. Is it easy to start up things like the body shop at home? I was going to do Virgin Vie a few years ago but they wanted about £80+ and I had to get a certain amount of parties at the start.

Have you considered PartyLite? They give you a kit worth £300 with no cash oultay for consultants?
I have been doing this for nearly 3 years now and love every minute of it!

    Hi Candlegirl

I haven't heard of this, what does it involve and what happens if you don't do very well?
  • There's a website called Comparextraincome (sorry, not allowed to post the link!) which does a review of a lot of the party plan/direct selling type companies. Might be worth a look.

Have you heard of Jo Magdalena jewellery? They're still pretty small but growing and other than doing 4 parties in the first 90 days, they have no targets (honestly!). I've been doing it for 16 months now and am loving it. Jewellery is a great one to do party plan because you can 'advertise' it every day. I've had a few party bookings/sales just because people have commented on my necklace/bracelet!

Good luck with whatever you decide and I hope it makes you some money!

I agree with Jo Magdelena - the big advantage of Jewellery party plan is that you can always advertise your product so you get sales simply by walking around. The website she mentioned is an excellent place to look at them all and do a direct comparison and you can ask for extra information on each one you are interested in.

There are some outlays with all of them in some shape or form either through paying back a kit or an initial payment, but any form of business is an investment, so don't just compare initial outlay - look at what in the long-term you will get back too. Some pay you higher percentages on what you sell - and wiith Miglio Designer Jewellery (the one I'm with) once you go up a level you never drop back down - so some consultants go from 25% to 40% within their first month if they really go for it.

    Hi Candlegirl

Basically it costs you nothing to start - you are given a kit worth £300 of candles, accessories, & well being spa products.

You are asked to try and get a 6 show line-up before starting as this will get you onto a good start but nothing happens to you if you don't manage this - if you try it and don't have 6 shows and not working for you then all you need to do is hand back the kit!

You don't sign up for any length of time, no sales targets and very unpressured party plan

I'm a leader and have girls all over the Uk and some work once a month and others work 2-3times a week it's entirely up to you.

Its all great fun and you get to meet lots of nice people!

If you want to see the kit etc you would get them pls pm me!

Is there any reason you're looking for something other than Avon/Kleeneze to begin with?
