CSA problems

Thank you for that
his jobs isn't safe anyway, they've already laid off several people and its possible he could be next, so his thinking is that he might as well be laid off and start claiming benefits? Is that selfish, and the best thing to do? its just that we cant afford to have 40% of his wages taken away
There you go then..
I think, although I stand to be corrected, that if you are made redundant then benefits kick in with very little waiting period.
Problem solved, glad to be of service
Think it through carefully though and decide which is best for everyone involved. Only you can decide if it is selfish and the best thing to do.
Some on here will judge you harshly for what you may be considering, some will understand the situation that you find yourself in.
What people on here may think of you doesn't really matter does it? We don't know you and you don't know us (huge assumption here). Therefore you must do what you must do.
Good luck in whatever decision that you may come to.0 -
Very good point, thats just what I needed, thank you.

It makes perfect sense to do that. But she's (PWC) quite an awkward person and doesn't like helping people, we've tried contacting her to pay her directly but she doesn't budge. We've left it a while and now this has arrisen, want to approach her again, but don't know how to, its just all so disheartening.
Thanks though
Well I would be a very awkward PWC if I wasn't getting money that I should be getting. Wouldn't you?
Perhaps she won't 'budge' and go on a private arrangement because of your partners past history with payments?:cool:0 -

My previous point to the Op still stands though....and I quote from my own post.....

It works both ways then doesn't it. Perhaps the people asking for help should leave out the personal comments.:cool:0 -

Yes it does work both ways.
I really don't care what people on here think of me and am pretty thick skinned.
It takes much more than harsh words, from people who are total strangers to upset me, or indeed any of the regular contributors on this board0 -
I second the above, don't quite understand you though dippychick - past history of payments? He's always paid monthly, he's only in arrears because their assessment was incorrect, hardly his fault. Some women should be a little more forth-coming and take into account the fact that not all men are the enemy and do actually want to do what is best for their child/ren - like my OH does.0

As the majority of CSA assessments are incorrect, this problem is common. The CSA have in our case made an assessment which is 110% of the NRP wage - so tell me how that works??? BECAUSE they have made a totally incorrect assessment, then applied arrears, made a LO, CCJ and now applied for a charge on our home - it's crazy!!!!!
But unfortunately - common0 -
My assessment was around 80% of what I earned at the time. I now learn it was an Emergency assessment, even though Data Files now prove they have been wrong all along, still waiting for that final letter to say this is actually WHAT you owe and its been over 2 months. All files show on the profile account provide a figure nearer the mark even thoug it takes no consideration that I paid the PWC directly.
Letters of threat, now its been questioned and proved wrong calculation, its gone very quiet,0 -
