UK Copiers Online

Has anyone dealt with this company before? Can you let me know what your experience has been with them? I am currently investigating suppliers for (I think) a leased photocopier for a local charity and am asking the existing supplier to provide a quote, plus one other I found through the Canon site, then came across this supplier.

They are a lot cheaper than the competitors, but I am concerned you get what you pay for with these suppliers....

In addition, would leasing be the right way to go for this type of equipment. I thought it would as repairs, etc would probably be higher than for a standard printer. In addition, leasing includes toner. However, we aren't huge scale users - there are three members of staff - 2 p/t, plus 8 trustees - most of whom are only in the office only twice a month.

We would be looking at leasing or purchasing an MFD such as Canon iRC3180c which would provide networked printing (B/W and Colour), have stapling, sorting and preferably booklet production. It is clearly cheaper than the three separate printers plus basic copier we have at the moment, would allow us to produce more inhouse than putting it out to external printers and would also stop other organisations in the building using it (it is situated in a shared corridoor and the current machine hasn't got any login facilities).

Anyone?

Thanks

    Hi,

Leasing doesn't include the toner, if a company is telling you that to push you into a lease, then they are telling fibs.

If you lease a copier, you are doing just that. The toners, are normally included on a service agreement, and you pay for the prints/copies via a per click method

Machines like canon charge a single click for an A4, or a double click for an A3. There will be 1 click charge for Black, and another for Colour

Xerox charge 1 click for either A4 or A3, so can work out cheaper for the running costs.

With login facilities, you can do simple things like a pin number access only, or go the whole hog and get a card based log in system. The latter is easier to manage, as you can try guess codes, whereas if you have a card, you can't do anything without it.

If the company is cash rich, and can afford a few thousand on a machine cash, then you own the machine outright. If you lease however, you do get the option to upgrade, normally 3 years into a 5 year agreement, or 2 years into a 3 year agreemen, and then it isn't dead money.

    Thanks for this Marky.

It appears that particular leasing option includes the service agreement as well - not for us as we need a volume pricing.
