LCD telly won't turn on ...help!

In one of my rooms I have a little LCD telly, when I have finished using this TV I usually just switch it off at the wall without turningthe actual TV off itself.
Today went to turn the TV on and it won't play ball - have I broken it?!
And if it's not completely broken, how do I go about fixing it?
Thanks!

Have you tried a different mains lead as the fuse may have blown. Oh and watch less TV and start reading books lol0

Where would I be able to get a different mains lead?
I don't actually watch a whole lot of TV to be honest, but sods law is that when yours is broken there will be something on you want to watch!

A girl with a TV in her room, thats scary lolhieveryone wrote: »I'm a girl.... and a very girly one at that!
If it is a kettle type of lead then from a monitor PC or kettle, if it is a small TV then it maybe a figure of 8 lead. Can you unplug the lead from the TV or is it attached to the TV?
Post back let us know and we will try to help you.0 -

dont worry
ok lets start by asking have you plugged it in somewhere else?
ie a different socket that you know works
either that or does lets say a hair dryer work in the socket where the tv is normally plugged into?Back by no demand whatsoever.0 -
Hi
The end thats plugged into the TV is like a computer charger pin... I think it says DC on the back of the TV?
That's connected to a big box type thing with another lead which goes to the plug. I've tried it in another plug that I know works and it's still not going on

How old is this TV? still under warranty?
What's the screen size?
Where it say's "DC", does it give a voltage and current rating? (ie 12v 500mA)
If I had to put money on it, id say the power adaptor was shot (the "big box thing"). If it's a small enough TV you might be able to get an adaptor for it.
You should still try changing the fuse in the plug though.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”
