tesco reduce price before i have goods

Hi all

1st post on here so please be easy with me..

On Sunday 31st May i purchased some garden furniture from tesco direct for £479, the furniture is due to be delivered today 9th June... ive just gone onto tesco direct to find del times and noticed the furniture is now £359.00 .... ive not even got the furniture and its dropped £120.00

Am i legally entitled to £120 back.... ive called Tesco who have told me i can cancel my order and re-buy the furniture, but it says its out of stock and tesco wont tell me if its coming back in ???

its a new week, so its a new price.
my tv from pcworld was 999 when i bought it, a week later it was 799.
id just cancel the order and buy elsewhere, unless you are really dead set on it, tho if you are, you wont be bothered about the price.
you were prepared to pay the higher price so really, you havent been robbed

You aren't legally entitled to the £120 back, as you have accepted to buy the goods at that price. The only way you could get the money back is to cancel and re-order...

  • If the price had gone up, would you pay more?

So they've reduced the price, but they have none to sell at the lower price anyway, so the OP has not missed out at all.

So the lower price is pointless if they don't have any in! You were presumably happy with the higher price, so c'est la vie.
