HSBC Professional studies loan

I was told i was not able to take the above loan if I did not have life cover ~ is that legal? I am nearly at the end of paying off £7.500 over about 7 years.
Not sure if I should try and reclaim insurance cost?

Hi Do you mean life cover or payment protection insurance.?

Hello, waiting for HSBC to get back to me as to the amount paid, but it states need life cover for them to give me the loan. Cant find any paper work on it, so presuming I have had life cover for the past 8 years??

Hi there

You could try asking for a copy of the agreement but this may be difficult to retrieve if passed 6 years, no harm in asking though.

May I ask if this is still active, or settled?

If still active you should be able to get some paperwork from them, or if you have settled within the last 6years also.;)
