I have had 5 claims over the last 5 years and now need to renew my contents insurance.
My existing company are offering me £270 renewal but with £300 excess!
Meanwhile, nobody else seems to be willing to quote me as I am renting. If I owned the property, then several websites offer me £175 & £100 excess.

Anyone know of somewhere that may like to insure me?

Yes, your current insurer. 5 claims in 5 years on a contents policy is extreamly high and unusual and have probably just tipped the balance to what most mainstream insurers would regard as an acceptable risk.

It might be best to stick with your current insurer, take more care with your things and wait untill the claims go over 5 years.
