credit card charges

hi i am trying to claim charges back from my credit card from citicard it was a associates card and i closed it in 2004 clearing the debt but after sending letters to citi card for my statements they cant find my account details and i also dont have any info on this; they have the 10 cheque so i wrote and give them exact date i cleared the card and the amount that was paid ,they wrote back to say they still cant trace the account ;anyone no what i can do now i cleared the card with debit card so when phoned my bank they also couldnt help

    That is utter nonsense, especially if you have given the date that you closed the account.
    I have not worked for NatWest Bank since February 2009

    do you have any idea how i will get the account details or should i send another letter saying i will take this further

    I will try and work through a couple of ways of doing it. How did you pay for the credit card? Was it cash/direct debit/standing order/cheque or online transfer?

    i paid the final amount to citicard to clear it by debit card thats why my own bank couldnt help me they said it was just a request for payment
