Tiling design?

Ok, I have googled and searched and looked everywhere but I am obviously NOT using the right descriptions 
Am about to have bathroom completely redone, have the tiles and the travertine mosaic that is going to be a border (passe I know, but I need something to break it up)
Problem is-I can't decide between tiling vertically, or brick design, and I really want to see pictures of brick design tiles. They are 400x250mm cream coloured tiles, and the bathroom is 3mx 1.8m (3m long-away from the door) so was thinking brick design would make room look more spacious?
Anyone got links to pics of the sort of thing I mean?
