no since the day ive had it, which is six days now ive kept it on a thin box on my lap, so its not getting to hot that way.
I know what ya mean thow coz my otherhalf used to use her laptop on the bed and it used to cook lol
  • just because ure laptop is getting hot dont mean that its broken, You need to find out your processor temprature, which will determine weather or not it is over heating.

Yes i understand what your saying m8 but i can tell this is getting really hot as i said in the other post, my othehalfs got this hot after about two years use and it had to be sent off for a new fan+ some new thermal paste, so i can tell it must be a problem with it... what software should i look for so i can tell the tmep of it , that way i can rule that out first?

dont want to leave it weeks before i get back on to them also.

Core temp will tell you your cpu temp.

I don't think an overheating cpu is the cause because your laptop would be shutting down.
Is the battery getting hot? Do you have the charger plugged in all the time?

Laptops do get hot, especially if any vents have been covered, and even more so if it uses a higher powered graphics chipset. There may be an option in the bios to set the speed of the CPU fan (which is usually increased in proportion to temo), can try changing to a static value increasing the speed at the expense of more noise. If the graphics chipset has a fan, there is software such as rivatuner which allows you to alter the speed too.
