How do I kow if my PC is a 32bit or a 64bit.
My OS is Vista 32bit.
But does that mean that it is not a 64 Bit.

Core 2 Duos are 64 bit.0

But running a 32bit OS means you cannot run 64 bit programs or drivers if that was your follow up question, and you are still contrained to the limits of 32bit OS software (eg, your wasting your time if you want to put in 4gb ram or more and expect to use it all). Running 32bt software on 64bit Vista is ok however.0

64 bit cpu. Stick with a 32bit OS for now. Main advantage for me with 64 bit is you can use all the addressable ram over 4gb, I believe some systems may have trouble seeing the 4gb0

Yes they're 64bit too (only if its the ones based on the core 2 duo design).
The other centrino core duo processors are 32bit.0 -

This site should help.To run a 64-bit version of Windows, your computer must have a 64-bit-capable processor. If you are unsure whether your processor is 64-bit-capable, do the following:
1. Open Performance Information and Tools by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Maintenance, and then clicking Performance Information and Tools.
2. Click View and print details.
3. In the System section, you can see what type of operating system you're currently running under System type, and, under 64-bit capable, whether you can run a 64-bit version of Windows. (If your computer is already running a 64-bit version of Windows, you won't see the 64-bit capable listing.)0 -
Centrino is just a marketing term Intel uses to refer to systems with a particular combination of components. The processor family you've alluded to is known as Intel Core.Money_Grabber13579 wrote: »What about Centrino Duos?
In short, what you have is a Core 2 Duo.
