Which BA gates at Gatwick Airport North terminal??

We are flying with British Airways from Gatwick to Venice soon.
Are the gates that BA use, near to the entrance to the departure lounge in North Terminal?
The reason I ask is that recently I flew with Easyjet from North Terminal, Gatwick and it must have taken me about half an hour to walk to the gate ( I am a slow walker due to mobility issues), including going up and down the biggest escalator in the world over part of the approach to the runway.
I did see BA planes at gates that were near the main departure lounge area and will be hoping that this is where BA generally depart from. If not, I may have to request assistance.
Anyone help or point me in the right direction? not literally - :=)

Have you tried asking BA? From http://www.britishairways.com/travel/disabilityassistanceinfo/public/en_gbIf you need mobility assistance to help you through the airport, please request it once you have made your booking, so that this service can be provided.
If you already have a booking with British Airways you can request mobility assistance through Manage My Booking.loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.0 -

Yes BA don`t have that info on their site.
I really want to know if the gates BA use are near the main departure area to avoid a long walk.0 -

There is no guarantee that gates won't change on the day, the North terminal has a good number of distant gates, best to request assistance.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

Tell me then, did the long walk you refer to to, take you up and down that very large escalator that goes over part of the route that leads to the runway?0

The bad news is that BA do use the new gates which are a very long way from the terminal building, I have flown twice with them from there. The good news is they also use the main terminal but you will not know which gate until the day of travel, the gate is not shown on the on line boarding pass. The gate numbers you would want to avoid are 100 and above.0

I personally prefer them instead of being bussed to the aircraft.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0
