Barclays Reg Saver - 10%! Or perhaps 3.4%...!

I am an existing Barclays current account holder, so thought I would make the most of their new 10% Regular Saving Account. I rang up and went through the normal setup process and thought all was ok.

However, when I received the Terms and Conditions for the "Regular Savers" account in the post and carefully read them through, I noticed they differed slightly from the T&Cs as given on the website. I duly contacted Barclays, and after convincing them there were differences they begrudgingly checked my new account. Lo and behold, they had set me up for their old Regular Savers account (issued in 2003 and is no longer on offer!) which has the paltry interest rate of 3.4% AER!!!

Anyway, I am hoping this is just a one-off that affected me, but thought I would make a posting so other's can at least check what they have been issued! Are Barclay's being blantantly underhand and hoping most people won't check their T&Cs...??
