ok i see some people are giving negative feed back saying to work smarter etc
I don't think that you should take the idea of working smarter as "negative feedback", my comments certainly weren't meant that way.

I didn't mean to suggest the OP wasn't working hard enough but that there are ways of working that someone who would be employed as a cleaner would use, which might be worth the OP learning.

Cleaners in the tourist trade frequently have to turn round 3 bed caravans in half an hour, with only 2 people working!

Sorry, when I quoted your particular phrase I wasn't actually having a dig at you, I was having a dig at a manager who seems to have lost touch with the reality of the jobs that need to be done within the timeframe provided.

I am quite sure that there are coping strategies the OP could employ to get by but there certainly seem to be other issues in this case.

@ OP you need to take control of when YOU clock out. No one else should be clocking you in and out, that is totally unacceptable. You clock out when you FINISH, whether you get paid or not. There are implications around security, insurance, etc. If that store got held up at 9pm but you are showing as clocked out at 8.30pm and the place should have been locked up, no insurance company is going to pay out. Your company will have covered their backs citing your clock out time. Clock out WHEN you FINISH.

I can fully see where the OP is coming from, as I use to be a manager at BK, (for my sins), going by my working experience your meant to have the shop fully functional for all opening hrs, so as for stripping equipment, cleaning down earlier then thats impossible.

If the guidelines are 3 staff to clean down at close down, allowing 30 mins, in theory thats 1 1/2hrs work, so 2 people cant close down in same time, its not just the fact of cleaning down its the stock, prep etc that add up.

Have you mentioned this to anyone at the store, I def agree with the other poster who suggested contacting Acas, as they can help a lot.

I dont know what ur managers r like, but do they help out, where I was it was part of a 4 mgt team, 1 mgr once he had done his mgt side he sat on his rear waiting for staff to finish, whereas myself and the other remaining mgrs would dig in and help, even if it was cleaning the loos.

Give the Minimum wage helpline a call. I'm sure you can do this anonymously and they will help you with the complaint - who to complain about, etc..

The other option is to put in a grievance. If that doesn't get you anywhere, present a claim to the employment tribunal alleging failure to pay minimum wage. This option would be 'out in the open' compared with the anonymous complaint, but you might get a swifter response from your employer. If you want to do this, best to see your CAB advisor first.
I am an employment solicitor. However, my views should not be taken to be legal advice. It's difficult to give correct opinion based on the information given by posters.

the manager is nice but i still cant complain

as i said they are looking to sack another member of staff so i dont want it to be me

also there is no guidline saying how many people should work

it just says at least two but as i have mentioned it is impossible to get everything done with two people
    Back by no demand whatsoever.
