W-T if its the policy I think it is
questions include
Are you aware of any circumstances that may put your current normal income at risk?
with
.. exclusions
include
You were aware of the possibility of impending Unemployment (or in our reasonable opinion You should have been aware) at the Start Date, notwithstanding that no specific reference has been made to Your personal situation
if swapping provider- do full disclosure !!
The only criteria in the policy was:
(b) are in Employment or Self-Employment continuously for at least 6 months prior to
Commencement Date and You do not know of or could not, reasonably, be expected to
know of any Unemployment that is likely to happen to You;
All depends on OP view. My company to the best of my knowledge has made redundancies for as long as I have worked there as it employs c.150,000. IN terms of my actual employment I don't believe that the fact redundacies are happening elsewhere in the world is reasonable indication that all jobs could potentially be at risk. Is a very grey area as afar as they are concerned. Guess I just will have to see (and hope I don't ever need to enforce it anyway)0 -
Mine went up too, however I was then laid off in June when the company I worked for went into administration.
Needless to say I am in the process of filing my second montly claim so very close to getting more back than I put in.
I wouldnt cancel as your never know what is round the corner.0 -
Only just woken up to the fact that our limited resources are being drained. My partner never checks his statements so i am doing it NOW-like others on this thread our insurance premiums doubled, we too have had no notification of premium rise or company change, thanks to the advice above of joshm iwill be immediately setting up a new policy then cancelling ant/adminicle, this site is fantastic0
-
Ignore the above decided not to cancel till Jan 10, or untill I know money will be refunded due to FAS ruling.0
-
does anyone know whether adminicle will,be making an automatic refund as my policy doubled in june without my knowledge0
-
Yes. All plans from all providers, even if their policy terms were set correctly, should be making the refund.
I suggest you verify your address with them if you didnt hear anything as they did write out.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Does anyone know what the ruling is on this?
Also i have another question. I'm thinking of registering as self employed. Just to top up my earnings. If i'm registered self employed is it likely to have an effect on my policy?kicking squealing gucci little piggy.0 -
dunstonh,
you seem pretty knowlegable, Trent who are now administrtors for assurant (replacing adminicle) have said that because there was a change in insurer to Alpha no refunds will be given following the increase last june.
Any thoughts?0
