Hi, ive just bought a personalised number plate, now I have to register it before i can actually use it on car. The D.V.A. have asked for my the number plate authorisation, the log book and the vehicle license(tax).

Do I have to send the actual tax disc from the windscreen.

Thanx.

No, it says on the DVLA form that a photocopy of the tax disc is required.

    Yes, that's what they are.

I've lost count of cars I've sold this year that have had the numberplates left on cos the owner got fed up of being charged left, right and centre for moving it about etc..

Private numberplates and NI stuff just means more paperwork for me, which the customer thinks doesn't cost anything lol...

    Sorry - I couldn't resist......... :o

Charge them - if it were me, I would willingly pay for someone to do the paperwork for me!!

I have enough paperwork at work to deal with as it is - I'm thinking, bonfire... :D
