Did anyone manage to pick up the wooden train set for 4.99? If so please please can you weigh the box for me so that i can work out the postage (i'm still considering it inspite of what my hubbie says!!) Also if you did get it what do you think of it, will it connect with the BRIO track?

If there is anything you want in the Kingston upon thames store i'm happy to send it to you if its fairly light and not bulky (i usually have a toddler and pram and shopping to carry when in Kingston)

I am desperate for some help here! I managed to reserve 2 of the 'Playskool roll to ride scooters' for £6.25 each from the Argos store in Cromer (near Norwich). Not sure if it is a pricing error or not as they are £30 in the latest catalogue and are a new item so do not know why they have been reduced.
Anyway, this store is 30 miles away from me (I am in Caister) and I was going to drive both kids down there tomorrow to collect, however the youngster has just started with a tummy upset so am not sure if I will be able to make it. I only actually want one of these, so if anyone is able to collect they are more than welcome to have the other one for themselves. Obviously the item is too big for posting but was hoping I may be able to pick it up in the next few days or even when the kiddies go back to school next week. If anyone can help at all please PM me. It is the little ones birthday next week and this would be ideal! I will keep my fingers crossed!

If you can't manage to find someone to pick this up for you Jolly-jen, then ring and reserve it again, as soon as the reservation time runs out.

I've been doing this for the last 10 days with the only sharp gx20 (£149) in my local argos, as I was sure it was going to come down in price when the RO lists eventually came out. I last reserved it (again) on Monday at £149, for collection by close of business today. Picked it up at lunch time for £74.

It's a gamble doing this, because you may be unlucky if someone working in the store has their eye on it, but then again you may be lucky!
