Can anyone tell me my rights?

I really wasnt sure where to put this but i thought someone might have an idea so i will ask it anyway... I had 2 male gerbils and one sadly passed away therefore to keep him company i got another from pets at home. It turns out this was a female gerbil and i now have 6 baby gerbils in my gerbil cage. The reciept clearly states '1 male gerbil' and i even asked the guy in the store to check twice because i said i already had one male and didnt want babies! Basically i know some people will say its just a gerbil, but i have had her for 4 months now and i really dont want to give her up but surely there must be something else they can do than just say bring her back if they are even willing to do this as i havent phoned them up yet. Does anyone have any ideas? What are my rights here? What can i expect them to do? Even if they gave me a gerbil cage i would be happy as this would mean i could seperate boys from girls and keep them all but im not sure what to do? Any ideas?

Is it bad that I'm laughing so much at this thread?
Sorry, either get a separate cage or get rid of one.0 -

Was the dad a stud? I would go to gerbil watch and make a complaint against them.0

Can you not sell the baby gerbils to the pet shop and both make some money out of it?0

Similar thing happened to my sister with 2 female baby g pigs who were ALREADY pregnant from Pets at Home. They offered a refund of the two original piggies if she returned the mothers and babies to them, or they would take the babies off her hands 'for free' (Ha! more money for them) once they were old enough to leave their mothers. Needless to say she kept the mothers and found good homes for the babies. Don't expect to much from Pets at Home and ALWAYS sex your pets from there yourself!0
