help with lloyds please

i wrote to lloyds on 17/5/2009 claiming over £500 in credit card charges they replied on the 22/5/2009 saying it will take 4 weeks to look into the complaint.
is this the normal response...or should i sent the second letter

Credit card charges or bank charges?

If we are talking credit card charges then we aren't talking financial hardship.

credit card charges ..this is not a claim under financial hardship

i just wanted to know is this the norm

to recieve a letter from lloyds stateing it will take 4 weeks to look into this complaint

I would expect an offer however, in the mean time, google OFT842 and read point 1.14 in preparation for their response.
