Put down weed suppressing fabric on your borders, plant shrubs through it and then top with bark chippings - cheaper and still attractive, plus low maintenance.0

If you want the grass all over option with a bit more interest, just cut out some squares and put a paving slab in each - you can then put a pot on each slab - if you level the slabs right you can simply mow over the edges. There are any number of different styles/colours/finishes of slabs you can get - some even form rings. If you aren't paying for the stones you could easily afford a few slabs in their place and as you aren't forming a path you don't need to worry about loads of sub base under them.Adventure before Dementia!0

Can anyone advise me on a cucumber that I have bought a few weeks ago, I have planted it in the greenhouse and it doesn't seem to be growing up more that it is growing bushy! also I was sold the plants as being all female but there are male flowers on what do I do, do I leave the male flowers on or remove them?I am a beginner on growing vegetables so any advice would be apprecianted. Thanks
