Car Insurance for student going to Uni

Does anyone have an tips about getting car insurance for my daughter who is going to Uni this September but leaving her car at home? She will only use it in the holidays - I don't think it's really worth paying for all year, as she is young it's expensive anyway. Ideas would be gratefully received. Many thanks.
