Speed Cameras On Motorways

I think I may have just gone through a speed camera on a motorway at about 75mph (was overtaking at the time). Am I likely to get a fine?

Is there any site where I can check the locations of mobile speed cameras? Tyneside in particular ;-)

At 75 indicated on your speedo you were probably doing 70 so not a problem

Firstly overtaking is no excuse for speeding.

Secondly, the speed your speedo says can be up to 10% more than the speed you are doing. Even if your speedo is 100% accurate I would be suprised if you got a ticket for 5mph over.

If was on a variable speed stretch you might need to worry. Otherwise forget about it.

Was on the A194(M). National speed applied. Not even sure they were cameras. Could have just been tax disc or traffic volume monitors. All I saw were unmarked cars and people in high vis jackets with clipboards!

Lesson learned. Won't be speeding again anytime soon!

There was a traffic survey taking place this morning on top of the bridge at Follingsby Park, which is the 2nd junction after the split at Washington services.
