Car Insurance Problem

I have a question about a issue that will arise on my next renewal.

What if:
* I insure the car at my current registered address ( parents home ), where I sleep roughly 12 nights a month. Location is Wales, insurance is currently set to this address, all my mail and voting is at this address.
* I rent in Glossop, but I only sleep there on work nights, so roughly 10 night a month. ( premium goes up about 33% on quick quotes ).
*Rest of the time I stay in my girlfriends, which is back in Wales but 70 miles away from Welsh home.

I don't really want to put the question to my insurance company at this present time, would rather have some views from people who might have possibly been in the same situation?

The documents would support your parents address being used.

The documents may support your parents address but I would be worried if the car was stolen overnight at one of the other riskier addresses and through questioning it became clear that you lived at that address on a regular basis.

I think the safest thing to do would be to use a broker who you can give the full details to. Alternatively if you want to use a cashback site, find who's going to give the cheapest quote, give them a ring to see what they say, then if you do take the insurance out online, phone them after the documents arrive and ask them to confirm that what you were told is correct.
