Advice on gas consumption

Hello,
I am trying to sort out my large fuel bills. I live in a 2 bedroomed detached bungalow and the only gas appliances I have is a 5 year old baxi condensor multipoint that heats the water on demand and runs the central heating. I also have a gas fire that I am not using at present. My gas consumption seems very high and has been like this since I moved to a dual fuel deal last October. Because the direct debit was increased by over £100 a month a couple of months ago I decided to start keeping a log of gas used. For the last 18 days after the calculations (I still have an imperial meter) I have worked out that I am using an average of 57 kwh a day. Is this unusually high bearing in mind that the central heating has only been switched on for 18 hours in this space of time. I have contacted Scottish Power and they are sending someone to check the meter but I just wondered if anyone had a rough idea of how much gas I should expect to use in these circumstances.
I am about to try and sort out the insulation in the bungalow. There is no cavity wall insulation and just the basic loft insulation, I think it is about 5-7 inches thick. The bungalow is circa 1935.
I would appreciate anyones opinion please.
Thanks

I have a newish combi boiler that is heating water for six. No gas fire but we cook by gas.

We average 20-30 kwh a day summer - heating may go on for an hour. Can't get below about 20kwh a day for heating water and cooking.

Winter it's more like 80kwh a day with the heating on. Up to 150kwh a day on coldest days.

i have a brand new worcester 30si combi boiler, 2 adults, heating isnt really being used now was probably on for 4 hrs last week, just 2 baths a day, gas hob for cooking and hot water for the dishes.we havent used the gas fire for a couple of months now.
3 bed detatched, 5 inch of loft insulation - "i must top this up this summer."

im averaging 7 units of gas a week (for the last 6 weeks)
so roughly 77kwh of gas per week
    11kwh per day
11kwh x 3.675p inc vat with ebico = 41 pence per day gas at the moment.
