Costco Pelican Esprite 100 Kayak.

Hi

I am thinking of buying a basic kayak and have spotted some like this on Ebay

Pelican kayak on Ebay

Going for £285 with paddle, flotation jacket and splashdeck included.

I have done a bit of research and have come to the conclusion that these are being bought at Costco and then being put on Ebay to make a good profit.

Are there any Costco members that could find out if these are indeed available and at what price for me please, I would really appreciate it.

Just phone your local costco (https://www.costco.co.uk) and as them To BUY it though you'll need to find a buddy who has a membership card... Stock can vary from store to store you so really need to call a local one

I am in Birmingham. Yes, i did have the problem in that i rang Costco but they wanted a membership number before they would give me any prices.

The reason i think they are being sold at Costco is because if you look on Ebay, there are several being sold at around the same prices by different people around different areas of the country. And also see this ad on Ebay:

I have quoted the following from the last paragraph:

"This boat is manufactured by Pelican specifically for one large American Wholesale/Trade Warehouse and they send a small number to their stores in the UK. Although we are Pelican Agents we have nothing to do with these boats."

Its gotta be Costco!

Thanks a lot for that Fishinggirl. Seems like quite a bargain to me. Now I need to try one out for size as i am 6ft 2". I have found out that i am entitled to membership too as i work in education. So perhaps it might be worth me joining. And thanks Mickknipfler for the offer, thats kind of you.

they did look quite wide not sure about length as they were up quite high on the display unit and the view was obscured by other items.they had a few inflatable boats as well.
