Awaiting manager signoff...

I have just called barclays for an update on my hardship claim and the bloke on the phone said it has been resolved and is waiting a manager signoff and i would get a answer by post in next few days..
I expected he would not tell me anything over the phone so my question is that if its 'waiting to be signed off by a manager' mean they are refunding a amount of some kind?
Thanks in advance.

Internal bank bureaucracy is what it is. The manager will look through the claim and double check that the figures are right and the payout equals the amount that they have decided on.0
