Averrage is 2/3 weeks, if they are using the likes of Abbey a lot longer, as they underwrite first.Pawpurrs x

It seems to vary depending on lender. Some lenders are on the ball & have a survey booked for the week after the offer has been made, but from what I read on these boards, some lenders are dreadfully slow.
I'm pleased I've only ever had to deal with on the ball lenders I have to say.The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
took about 4 weeks through the woolwich.
our buyers survey took nearly 6 weeks0 -
We are buying and with Abbey. We are told they have always been rather slow, but at the moment they seem to be updating processes as we are going and have requested additional documentation to prove what we have said on the forms twice now, slowing everything down by 2.5 weeks! (Like most people these days we don't get bank statements, so these had had to be requested and are taking up to a week to arrive!). They won't book the survey untill they have received the docs!
They also have a backlog... Unfortunatly, complaining hasn't got it moving quicker!0 -
Thanks dogbot. What do you mean you dont get bank statements, you can go and ask for them when you walk in the bank.0

we are going through the process with abbey and i have to say they did the survey within a week, since then they have asked for documents to back up our forms, but the survey was done very quickly0

My buyer survey took 5 weeks before they phoned, I heard nothing at all, I thought they'd changed their mind and disappeared. Then it was a week until he turned up. Then he said the money would be available 2 weeks after his report, but with the paperwork etc it took about another 3 weeks after that before we completed.0

We have had offer accepted on Tuesday and the surveys taking place tomorrow!
This is with Natwest. Quality so far!0 -
We are with A+L we had offer on the Tuesday and was organised on the Thursday or yesterday. However our buyer is with A+L and have not had survey request yet. I guess it is the luck of the draw.0
