If you like having only half a kitchen delivered with much of that broken?!

Our neighbours across the road ordered one and ended up in a right tizz. I felt bad as soon as they said where they'd ordered it from as they have a terrible reputation. Sure enough they lived up to it. Neighbours ended up having to buy a complete kitchen from Focus whilst still waiting for a refund :(

Hi, dont touch this company u will get broken units and no back up from the company. furthermore they want cash on delivery and you definately will not get your money back. warrington trading standards are on their back again and mr miller and mr ford have been in court over ripping people off. take this as a warning and spread the word around. they are just out to take your hard earned cash.
  • Do not use Rock solid Kitchens, Kitchen Dreams Direct both of Oldham. They are them same company, same web site, tel no etc. We ordered from Kitchen Dreams direct, and haven't received worktops. No reply from letters and fax to firm. No way of contacting them by phone, they have no aftersales service. Staff rudely tell you to phone another number for after sales dept which is never answered. We will take this company to small claims court. Paid £1400 for MDF units, beech colour, but some appear to be light oak I have just noticed! Complete !!!! up. We have had to buy new worktops from another firm to get our kitchen finished. Do not use this firm, beware of kitchen firms from Oldham or if they do not give an address on their online catalogue. I have read this firm also supplies to Kitchens4less, which has similar business methods.
Wish we had used Howdens through our kitchen fitter as he recommended.

I saw the contract that is supplied by this company and it basically states that you are unlikely to receive all the bits required for your kitchen. They have well and truly covered themselves...

Cheap but like they say....you get what you pay for in this case...

Honestly, check out your small local joiners for a quote. We spent months getting quotes from all the big companies and those who place big ads in newspapers. They all start off low and then when you ask for pretty normal extras, the price shoots up. In the end we asked for a quote from a little local joiner and he was better priced than Magnet or B and Q and the kitchen was made to measure with lots of extras like little drawers to fill in gaps and so much more. Just check it out first.

Some quote very very high at the start then slash the price in half!!!

Kitchens Direct quoted me £20k to start off with and ended up at a figure of £10k...it was still too high.

Ended up paying about £3.5k all in.
  • We bought a maple shaker kitchen off them. Everything was present and correct except for one mistake... instead of two 1000mm wall units, one with glass doors, one with solid......... they sent us two 1000mm penisular units (that have doors front and back so can be opened from either side)......... and eight glass doors... and way too many handles! Now I've telephoned and written til I'm blue in the face, informing them that we have over £400 worth of their doors and handles we did not order and haven't paid for but they don't seem bothered about coming to fetch them. Our joiner was able to quite easily adapt the units and now we have four spare glass doors and about a dozen too many boss 280mm handles LOL! And we have to admit it looks even nicer with all glass doors.
Think I've given them ample opportunity to come collect.... so shoving the extas on Ebay. Cheers Kitchen Dreams/Rock Solid Kitchens, we'll have a pint or two on the proceeds!:rotfl:
