Redundant

I've just had my letter saying I am 'at risk' of redundancy.
Now it seems to me, being that they have told me I am offski on July 3, that I have actually been made redundant!
So far, I haven't got any information as to how they chose me and my HR person isn't answering her phone yet to sort out a meeting.
I'm at a bit of a loose end as I want to see what alternative roles they have available as I love the place I work at and am very flexible in what I will do.
My letter says I have 5 working days to lodge any appeal. I was given the letter on Thursday evening but without knowing how they chose me, how can I know if I have grounds for appeal or not?
Thanks for all the previous threads. Ever since I had an inkling this could come I have been following the progress on this forum and your previous threads have given me some idea as to what to do next.
To all others looking for work or at risk of getting the Spanish Archer, best of luck to you all.

I would witr to them stating that you want the reasons why you hve been chosen for redundancy and why there is a need for redundancy. Say that this a formal notice of appeal and you will provide reasons for your appeal once you are in receipt of the information requested.
This is in no way legal advice just a method of registering an appeal before their deadline!
