I am a lodger and need content insurance

Hi there
I am desperate. I am a lodger. I share a house with one person (the home owner). I have spoken to the landlord about content insurance and he said I would be covered by his, but I am concerned that if something should happen he will pay over just a little and not cover my costs at all. Also, I have a laptop and camera and would like to cover those for all risks, but have not managed to get him to do this. So I have tried to find someone to insure my stuff only. To no avail.
Is there anywhere I can get content insurance as a lodger? Please help!

You are not covered by his unless he has checked with the Insurer AND added your name as a joint policy holder or interested party which I doubt he has.
If he is prepared to do the above then try this, alternatively try Endsleigh0 -
