Is there such a device??

Hi,


Does anyone know if there is a such device that can be wired in to the electrics which you programe your rate per kwh it then calculates this into pounds and pence so you can see how much electricity you have used.

I'm sick and tired of the electric companies telling me how much electric they think i've used, when i've just got to take their word for it as i have know proof. For some reason it doesn't matter how many times i let them into to red the meter i always seem to be left on an estimated reading.

If anyone knows the name or website or if anyone has one of these fitted and knows where to get one it would be a great help.

I'm also thinking of getting a hot water solar panel from a pal, does anyone know if these are worth the money? as obviously he thinks there great but then he sells them so he's going to think that.

I dont know if there is but I know that some utility companies allow you to put your meter readings in online so you dont get an estimated bill. I do this quarterly but can do it as often as I like to track our usage.

There are such devices, and they use inductive pickups rather than being hard-wired into your wiring - use google to search for 'efergy' or 'owl'. You may find these devices for sale on ebay.
