The only problem I've ever had is with the PL-85PEW Wireless Access Point version, where its default subnet was different from that of my LAN. Took a bit of messing around with its wireless configuration...

    Yep, these things happen!

As I recommended, read the manual and all should be well. In my experience it was slightly harder to setup than a standard home router.

What Im looking for is 2 devices (a desktop PC and my Xbox 360) to be connected to a single SKY Router box.

What is the best configuration using PowerLine setup?

And also radiate for several hundred yards in all directions obliterating the Shortwave Bands on radio. Check you havent any Radio Hams living nearby or you may get a visit from the guys at Ofcom. There is a move to outlaw these devices. The only reason I know this is my uncle is a Radio Ham and eventually his neighbours had to stop using these things cos they were causing him loads of interferance

How does this happen? Are you talking only about the wifi versions? I'm guessing not. VERY curious as to this claim ...

As far as I understand things, they work with any IP. I'm using mine with BT & they really do work at a great speed. As these are placed after your router and modem in the wiring set-up I can't think that they wouldn't work with all internet providers.

The problem for radio hams is with ones that do not meet the requirement that they do not use ham band frequencies. I am a (not very active) radio ham and the ones I have do not cause any problems in the ham bands. I haven't checked the HF broadcast bands though and they may well cause problems there.

There was a Number 10 website petition about them which was not properly answered and another has been raised - http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/SaveShortwave2/ I doubt they will be banned although they probably should never have been allowed in the first place.

Thanks for reply, re interference from these bits of kit for users of shortwave radio. I did a bit of idle research on YouTube and there's plenty of info' out there. As far as I can gather, these turn the whole electrical wiring system into one enormous aerial knocking out frequencies which interfere with shortwave broadcasts. This is what I've read - I've NO background in technology. As I want to be a good neighbour, is one make worse than another, do you know? Or, are they all equally to blame for this problem?
