Have transferred family movies on Hi8 cassettes to the PC using Pinnacle Dazzle video creator.
We want to be able to view them thru the Xbox 360.
The files captured are MPEG and won't even list in the 360
Also re-encoded them to AVI using pinnacle's own software but the codec is not supported on the 360.
Are there any programs out there that will re-encode them to DivX so we can view the files thru the 360?
BTW the 360 is already set up for streaming from the PC.

The streaming portion seems to be explained here: http://www.jakeludington.com/xbox/20060321_easy_divx_to_xbox_360_streaming.html as for the reencoding portion, you could try downloading the Free DivX codec which is in the Free DivX package: http://www.divx.com/en/products/software/windows/divx you could then use something like SUPER to reencode using the chosen codec to your chosen format: http://erightsoft.podzone.net/GetFile.php?SUPERsetup.exe
HTHIt could have been worse. At least source code's not combustible, or you can bet somebody at McAfee would have lit it.0 -
Thanks to both of you.
Tried the DivX and Super downloads tonight and re-encoded a test avi file.
It works on the 360
There's a few selections and options to try for optimal settings but I'll figure that out tomorrow.
