I haven't got a credit card. Shock horror. I am nearly forty and have never seen the reason to have one, until now. I am going on holiday in September with my wife and new born and wish to pay for it with a credit card now, but pay it off in several months.
With this is mind what is the best card available that I can use with 0% interest for the maximum number of months? Also what hapeens after the peroid of 0% interest, does it revert to a ludicarous percentage?
And last but in no way least, the card has to have the best deal for transactions abroad.
Would appreciate any help.
Cheers

The outright best card for usage abroad for me has got to be Nationwide's Visa card. It charges 0% commission on foreign currency transactions. I use mine only when I go abroad or for buying things on the net that are from sites abroad.
In addition, this particular card has got free extended warranty for some electrical and gas goods, which was one of the reasons that led me to get a credit card and not use my debit card all the time.
Not sure about any interest free period, as I pay mine off in full by direct debit (and hence on time) whenever I spend on it. I think I may have been offered a 0% interest free period for some number of months when I got the card originally (about 10 months ago), but I don't remember the details. My advice is to check https://www.nationwide.co.uk.0
