Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me please.
I bought the complete sims 2 collection and have loaded the first disk into my laptop as I wanted to get used to playing just that before I install all of the expansion packs, however it is having problems.
As I play the game, the picture keeps getting distorted. Can anyone suggest what might be wrong?
Id really like to get it sorted as I have ordered sims 3 and I am worried that if sims 2 will not work correctly, neither will sims 3. I cant afford to go to a laptop specialist so I was hoping someone here may be able to help?
I am using a laptop with vista premium if that helps?

The actual image is distorting, most commonly the sim is bent out of shape, or I can not see parts of the body, ie just its head is there, its hair disappears etc... very strange!
My laptop is a toshiba satelite L300D and has vista premium, AMD athlon x2 64 ATI Radeon graphics ( sorry if thats not th info you were after, I just copied what the lables say as I a pretty clueless with computers ).

I seem to remember you could turn down the graphics quality from within the game, maybe that might help. I think there is also a diagnostic test on the CD that lets you check if your computer is compatible.0

Try changing the properties of the shortcut to run in Compatibility Mode with Windows XP SP2 selected0
