Canon camera drivers for Vista 64bit

I have a new Vista PC and cannot find drivers for my Canon 5D SLR.
PC does not recognise camera is attached, only drivers I can find on Canon website says `Vista 32Bit`. When trying to download it to PC I get a message saying something like it is not compatible.
I think my PC (HP Touchsmart all in one) has Vista 64 Bit operating system.
Apart fro using a card reader, is there any other options?
thanks

Yes there is:

HTHIt could have been worse. At least source code's not combustible, or you can bet somebody at McAfee would have lit it.0 -
That seems like a really really bad idea. Compatibility mode is designed to make applications work, not drivers. Sure it will let you run the driver installer but there is no guarantee that the driver will actually work afterwards.
It's certainly not supposed to work at all, but some people are apparently finding that some drivers actually work. It could also cause your computer to lock up every time you plug your camera in. Plus if those drivers aren't WHQL signed 64bit Windows will refuse to load them anyway.
Personally I'd just get a card reader. They're less than a tenner these days.0
