My success one was "Balconi [sic] yellow", a small trailing cherry suitable for pots

Mine had loads of fruit, and very decorative. Seed saved fro next year

My Black Cherry were prolific, but later cropping than other varieties, very sweet & unusaul, seed saved for next year

The orange ones I grew, Auriga, were a disaster, only had to say "blight" and they collapsed, plus fruit was watery

    GD of course was fine

PS, scooped 50p packets of Venus, Matina & F1 Tomatoberry Garden for next years trials
Eight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens

Rummaging thru the seed box, and the T&M catalogue, ready for Feb sowing of 2011 toms. Varieties for sowing so far:

    Seed box:
Gardeners Delight (nuff said, though had to fight blight last year)
    Harbinger (good yield and taste)
    Tumbling Tom (havent grown before)
    San Marzano (good in 2010)

    T&M ordered:
    Ferline (blight resistant)
    Legend (blight resistant beefsteak)
Losetto (blight resistant basket) at 6 seeds for £3.49  this qualified as the free packet

    Not regrowing
Gartenperle, look lovely, poor taste, blighted

Last year my Tumbling Toms (both red & yellow proved quite resistant to blight. And interestingly, my saved seed from Ferline which is an F1 variety (which are not guaranteed to produce identical plants) also produced very satisfactory blight resistant plants. My plants are grown outdoors, so I'll have to discipline myself not to sow until early/mid April to avoid the leggy plants I've suffered in previous years.
