park and ride near the millenium stadium

Hi,
I wonder if anyone can help me......
I am going to the Take That concert at the Millenium Stadium on the 16th June, travelling from West Wales. Where is the best and easiest place to park? I hear that park and ride is the best option?

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

The most convenient would be Sophia Gardens, which is pay and display. Leave M4 at J33 and head down the link road for Cardiff and the Bay. Take the first exit (at Culverhouse Cross, after 3 miles) and head for the City Centre along Cowbridge Rd - it's a good 2 miles. After passing through Canton, the road widens by the old St david's Hospital, and turn next left at the lights into Cathedral rd. The entrance to Sophia gardens is a few hundred yards on the right. It's only a short walk from the car park to the Stadium.

What about Leckwith Stadium park and ride?

I would check though, whether this is open as park and ride usually operates on a non-working day.

I've noticed that Ikea have started doing Park and Ride for events.
They were charging £5 the other week for the Eisteddfod down the Bay, and this weekend they were charging £10 for the Monster Truck event in the stadium

You might be better off getting into Cardiff around 17:00 when the office workers are leaving. Try to park around the area of the main Police Station and University on King Edward VII Avenue. Map here.

There are on street parking meters, but it is free after 18:00, so you only need to pay for an hour which is only £1.50
The parking charges for Cardiff can be found here

    Have a good time.
