Like ISOM says, soya is good. And like George says, toast (tho not for me with my wheat intolerance). And like El says, peppermint.... I have one addition, similar to El's - thats chamomile. If you use chamomile or mint teabags, you (I) can feel things calming down - its definitely about slowing the system. Very worried for you going into hospital Bob, I hope you're sorted soon.

I also use peppermint tea and find it soothing. Not tried cammomile ..mm think I'll try some of that.
Hope you're feeling better today.0 -
Oh thats a good one - I have fennel naturalised into my garden! I don't really *like* any of these tastes - peppermint, chamomile or fennel - but if they stop the living hell that can be IBS, then they're worth it!2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Hiya bob,
Sorry you have a flair up of IBS, it's a real s (ops that would have been a right pun)
IBS is one of the reasons I went over to live-in jobs as it means I don't have to take time off went it hits. I used to lose lots of cash through it, and as you say it's very tiring. Can't seem to work out what sets it off for me but have lived with it for so long now, just have to use the ol imodium, so am now a druggy:eek::eek:
Hope your feeling better soon ((((((((((hugs))))))))))))) hon

Thanks for all your lovely advice ..is mucho appreciated.
Am feeling a bit more with it now, so have been online and looked at stuff. Now i am not complaining about Mr.B, but what is it about chaps let loose in a supermarket? He has filled cupboards with all his favourite junk mush..fizzy pop, crisps and cheese ( he loves cheese) haven't dared look in freezer yet...gulp.
So my budget is probably already in the doldrums this month as he there have been a couple of takeaways too..sheesh!
Will look at damage later budget wise, i suspect that main account is non too healthy either.
Will report back later on that. Off for a quick mooch and a look at what you have been upto.
xBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0
