Re bank charges

I have just received my list of charges from the halifax for the last 6 years. Is this as far back as you can go??
Also i had an overdraft on the same account and was paying it off a bit every month. They have recently sent this account to a collection agency due to me missing a payment. Should i contact the agency and come to an arrangment with? I am about to send out my second template letter requesting for my charges back.

Is the first letter for the account now with a debt collection agency?
And is the debt collection agency Blair, Oliver and Scot(first letters of each should tell you that they are linked together).0
