Tesco Clubcard Cosmos voucher refund???

Hi all,

Sorry I've had a good look on the forums for the answer to this but I can't find it.

I recently converted £70 of clubcard vouchers to £280 of cosmos vouchers without knowing the full terms and conditions of the vouchers. I know this was stupid but they aren't clear on the tesco clubcard website. Basically, you can't book through the website, only over the telephone taking the brochure price which is a huge amount more expensive. For example, a £750 holiday is £1,200 in the brochure.

What I wanted to know is, will I be able to get a refund for the vouchers and convert them back into clubcard vouchers? The term and conditions seem to indicate not, but will I be able to say I wasn't made fully aware of the terms and conditions?

If anyone has any experience of this, please reply.

    Sorry to say but my initial thoughts are that you don't really have a leg to stand on regarding the T & C as they are very clear. Someone with a little more knowledge may disagree though

Rewards tokens cannot be used to pay for accommodation only holidays, holidays that include no frills flights, holiday insurance, car insurance, Hot Offers, Late Deals and optional extras. Optional extras include flight meals, Monarch Plus, Disney Passes, private taxi transfers, pre and post departure hotel accommodation in the UK or overseas.

    Not sure about Cosmos vouchers, but we normally over order on Days Out vouchers and return them if we cannot use them by the end of the season/expiry date. Every time we get a letter from Tescos saying something like: "We are sorry you haven't been able to use your vouchers and have credited the value back to your Clubcard account."

    We normally send a covering letter with the unused vouchers. It does no harm to ask - if you don't ask you don't get.

    Just to confirm, if anyone is wondering or is looking for an answer to this...

    I contacted Tesco to ask for a refund and they say they will cancel the vouchers and add the amount to my next clubcard statement.
